Best Documentary: Jake Viramontez, "The Hanna Project"
- Jake (VCHS Class of 2005) shot this International Student Television Network(STN) award-winning documentary in Africa in the middle of a civil war in the nation of Ivory Coast. The documentary followed a medical mission trip to help the people of this war-torn nation. - WATCH THE VIDEO

Best Documentary: Jake Viramontez, "Behind the Flames" - Jake (VCHS Class of 2005) shot edited his first documentary in 2003. It won the student section of the Poppy Jasper Film Festival. The documentary focused on the reality of what firefighters are really like in the firehouse, as well as how they are all similar and different. - WATCH THE VIDEO

Second Place, Music Video: Amy Thomas, Jacob Ruiz, "Second Place" - This original music video was shot and edited by Intro to Video students and took second place in the the Student Television Network (STN) annual Convention competition in 2006. The song was an original work by Amy Thomas' brother and the crew told the story of love lost, and found. Ironically the song is entitled "Second Place" (maybe we should have named it first place! First Place, Student Short Film: Aneesh Chaganty, "NUG" - This original experimental short film was conceived, written, directed and edited by Intro to Video student, Aneesh Chaganty. The film takes place in reverse, beginning with the final scene and running backwards to the opening shot. It's a murder mystery that unravels itself as we watch it unfold backwards. NUG took first place in the 2007 Skyway Film Festival - WATCH THE VIDEO
